Coolant Ring Technology (CRT) holders from Scientific Cutting Tools are made from high quality heat treated steel and come with a black oxide coating. They are engineered to allow for better coolant penetration deep into the bore, reducing temperature at the cutting edge, the company says. The overhang of the tools used with the holders is infinitely adjustable CNMG Insert rather than fixed, allowing for maximum performance without chatter or other performance-related issues.

Delcam has added a CAM Manager to its DentMill knowledge-based CAM system for machining dental industry components. The manager is designed to?assist technicians with minimal manufacturing experience?in machining caps and bridges in ceramics and titanium.?

The manager includes nesting tools to automatically orient all parts within the selected stock. It takes part-used areas of the stock into consideration to reduce costs and allow efficient use of materials, the company says. Data Feeding Cutting Tools Win IMTS Award

Rem Sales deep hole drilling inserts offers the Tsugami S206-II Swiss-type lathe with IMG 400LS laser slot milling cutters cutting system. Developed by Innovative Machinery Group, Rem Sales’ sister company, the machine was originally designed to fast production of small, cylindrical parts for the medical industry but has potential applications in other industries that manufacture similar-sized parts.

The machine combines six-axis Swiss machining with laser cutting capability, making it possible to perform both operations in a single setup, reducing production time. The Tsugami S206-ii opposed gang-tool lathe features a Y-axis toolpost that enables the use of the back and main spindles simultaneously for machining complex parts. The machine is also convertible so that it can be run as traditional sliding headstock machine with a guide bushing or with a chucker. All laser cutting operations are programmed and driven from the Fanuc 32i-B control.

GWS Tool Group Acquires Indexable Cutting Tools

Kyocera SGS Precision Tools (Munroe Falls, Ohio) has announced a brand-new website. Designed from the ground up as a modern and easy-to-use resource, kyocera-sgstool.com is said to reflect the company’s continuous improvement principles and an emphasis on simplicity over complexity.

The website works on any internet-enabled device. It connects directly with ToolWizard for accurate and controlled tool data. ToolWizard 2.1 can be CCGT Insert accessed and launched from the homepage.

Additionally, stock check, distributor search and order search systems for members have not migrated to the new site.
